Do you provide samples?

Yes. YPS provides free pre-production samples so you can verify paper quality, cover finish, and binding construction before committing to bulk production. For stationery brands, corporate buyers, and independent designers, the sample stage is where a specification becomes a real product — and we treat it as a non-negotiable checkpoint in our manufacturing process.1. What Sample Options Are Available?YPS offers two routes depending on your project stage:Stock Material Samples (Free): For buyers who want to evaluate paper weight, cover lamination (matte, gloss, or soft-touch), and coil colors before designing, we provide free material swatches and stock notebook samples. You only cover the freight cost.Custom Pre-Production Samples (Project-Specific): Once your artwork, size, page count, and binding type are confirmed, we produce a custom sample that mirrors the final bulk product — including your logo, inner-page layout, and coil specification. This sample is the reference standard for the entire production run.2. How Long Does Sampling Take?Custom samples are typically ready in 3–7 working days after artwork confirmation. For urgent projects, we can expedite the sampling schedule depending on material availability and binding complexity. Once the sample is approved, bulk production usually takes 15–25 days, depending on order quantity and finishing requirements.3. What Is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?YPS is built for brands of all sizes — not just large-volume buyers. Our MOQ is flexible depending on the product line:As low as 50 pieces for small-batch custom diary notebooks. From 500 pieces for custom printed spiral notebooks with full OEM/ODM customization. From 100 pieces for certain stock spiral notebook specifications. This flexibility means startups and independent designers can access custom manufacturing without the 5,000–10,000-unit minimums common in the industry.4. Why Sample Confirmation Matters at YPSBecause YPS is a vertically integrated manufacturer — we draw our own wire, produce our own PET coils, and handle printing and binding in-house — the sample you approve and the bulk product you receive come from the same production system. There is no hand-off between a sampling lab and a volume factory, which eliminates the common mismatch between "approved sample" and "delivered goods." Production only begins after your written sample confirmation, ensuring your risk is zero.5. How to Request a SampleShare your specification: size (A4/A5/A6), page count, cover material, binding type, and any logo or artwork files.Confirm the sample route: stock swatch or custom pre-production sample.Approve the sample: we provide a photo or physical sample for your sign-off before bulk production.Proceed to production: with the approved sample as the quality benchmark.Contact our team to request your free sample swatch or to initiate a custom sample project.

Do you offer different page layouts/formats?

Yes. YPS offers a full spectrum of inner-page layouts — from standard ruled, dotted, grid, and blank formats to fully bespoke printed templates for planners, trackers, and branded corporate notebooks. The page layout is not an afterthought in a custom notebook project; it is the part of the product your end-user interacts with every time they open the book, which makes it the single most important driver of whether the notebook gets used or stored away.1. Standard Ruling Options (No Custom Artwork Required)If you are working from an existing notebook specification or want a fast, cost-effective route, YPS already runs the most common layouts in production:Lined (Ruled): The default for general note-taking, meeting minutes, and school use. Standard line spacing options are available, including 8.5mm ruling for school and general-purpose notebooks.Dotted (Dot Grid): A subtle 5mm dot matrix that supports bullet journaling, free-form sketching, and custom layouts without the visual constraint of full grid lines.Grid (Squared): A structured grid for technical notes, data tables, and weekly planner layouts that require strict alignment.Blank: An empty canvas for sketching, brainstorming, and creative work. These standard rulings require no custom artwork and are the most economical starting point for private-label and promotional notebooks.2. Bespoke Printed Templates and Planner FormatsBeyond ruling, YPS supports fully custom printed interiors — the level of customization where the page itself becomes a brand asset:Planner and Tracker Layouts: Weekly spreads, monthly calendars, to-do lists, habit trackers, goal-setting pages, and project-management templates tailored to how your target user actually works.Full-Bleed and Branded Interiors: Every page can carry colour, structure, or brand elements, turning the notebook into a continuous branded touchpoint rather than a plain writing pad.Mixed Layouts Within One Book: You can combine lined, blank, dot grid, and graph pages freely within the same notebook, and drop in printed reference pages, section dividers, or tabbed spreads between writing sections. This is the level where YPS's vertical integration matters: because we control printing, punching, and binding in-house, the custom interior you approve is produced on the same system that will run your bulk order.3. What Determines Which Layout and Format Fits Your ProjectThe right page format is not a matter of taste alone — it is shaped by the binding system and the physical constraints of the finished book. Before finalizing a layout, YPS's prepress team works from the actual production template:Binding edge and punch pattern: The margin must keep critical text and page numbers clear of punched holes and the coil itself, while still leaving comfortable writing space near the spine.Orientation and trim size: The same layout artwork can be adapted to portrait, landscape, or top-bound formats, but the usable area changes with each orientation.Page count and paper stock: Inner-page formats are specified alongside paper weight (70–120gsm) and page count, so the layout is built for the final book construction rather than a generic sheet.A universal "spiral binding margin" copied from another project is a weak specification; the reliable approach is to use the manufacturer's confirmed punch geometry and verify it on a punched and bound physical sample. YPS provides that sample as part of the pre-production confirmation process.4. How to Specify Your Page LayoutChoose your ruling or template: standard lined, dotted, grid, blank, or a custom planner/tracker design.Confirm the binding and trim size: A4, A5, A6, B5, or custom dimensions, with the corresponding punch template.Provide artwork for custom pages: supply a complete interior PDF with every page laid out in the exact sequence you want printed.Approve a physical proof: review the punched and bound sample to confirm margins, page order, and writing comfort before bulk production.Contact our team with your page layout requirements and we will confirm the available ruling options, custom template capabilities, and sample timeline for your project.

What are your terms of payment?

YPS works on a clear, production-linked payment structure: a deposit to secure your order slot and schedule materials, with the balance settled before goods leave our factory or against shipping documents. For custom notebooks, payment terms are not a generic checkout setting — they are tied to the actual production milestones of your order, from material procurement to final inspection and dispatch.1. Standard Payment Structure for Custom OrdersFor most OEM and ODM notebook projects, the standard structure is 30% deposit in advance, 70% balance before shipment or against the Bill of Lading copy. The deposit triggers material procurement and production scheduling; the balance is requested once your order has passed final quality inspection and is ready for loading. This structure is standard across the Chinese stationery and printing export industry because it protects both sides: the buyer sees the goods are genuinely produced and prepared for dispatch before releasing the final payment, and the manufacturer can commit to raw materials and production capacity without carrying the full cost of a custom order.2. Accepted Payment MethodsYPS accepts the following payment methods for international orders:T/T (Bank Transfer): The most common method for custom notebook orders. The 30/70 split described above applies.L/C (Letter of Credit): Accepted for larger orders and buyers who require bank-intermediated payment protection. L/C at sight is the typical structure.D/P and D/A: Available for established trading relationships and repeat buyers, subject to order value and destination.Western Union: Accepted for smaller orders or sample-related payments where speed and simplicity are the priority.PayPal: Available for certain small orders and sample fees, though not the default for bulk production. All payment details — beneficiary name, bank account, and SWIFT code — are confirmed on the proforma invoice (PI) issued after order specifications and pricing are finalized. Payment is not processed until all relevant information has been confirmed, and orders placed on weekends or public holidays begin processing on the next working day.3. What Happens If You Need Different TermsPayment terms are not fixed for every buyer. For long-term partners with an established order history, YPS offers flexible payment arrangements — including adjusted deposit ratios and extended balance terms — based on cooperation history, order volume, and delivery schedule. For first-time buyers, the standard 30/70 structure remains the baseline, but the specific split can be discussed during quotation if the order profile justifies it.4. Payment, Production, and Delivery TimelinePayment terms are tied to the production workflow, not just the invoice:Order confirmation and PI: We issue a proforma invoice with the agreed payment terms, unit price, and delivery timeline.Deposit received: Materials are procured and your order enters the production schedule.Production and inspection: Custom notebooks are produced, bound, and inspected against the approved sample.Balance payment: Once final inspection is passed, the balance is requested before shipment or against the Bill of Lading copy.Shipment and documentation: Commercial invoice, packing list, and Bill of Lading are issued for customs clearance.5. Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Can I pay the full amount upfront instead of a deposit?A: Yes, full advance payment is accepted, and it may simplify the process for smaller orders. For larger custom orders, the 30/70 structure is recommended because it aligns payment with production progress.Q: Is a deposit refundable if production is delayed?A: The deposit covers material procurement and production capacity. If delays are caused by YPS, the deposit remains protected and the order will be prioritized. Specific remedies are defined in the sales contract or PI.Q: Do you accept payment in currencies other than USD?A: USD is the standard currency for international orders. EUR and other major currencies can be discussed during quotation.Q: Can I use a Letter of Credit for a small trial order?A: L/C is typically cost-effective for larger order values because of bank fees. For trial orders, T/T or Western Union is usually the more practical option.Contact our sales team with your order specifications and we will confirm the applicable payment terms, issue a proforma invoice, and outline the production and delivery schedule for your project.

Will the coil rust over time? Will pages fall out?

Short answer: No, the coil will not rust under normal use, and pages will not fall out when the notebook is manufactured to specification. Both outcomes are engineering results — not hopeful claims — and they depend on the coil material you select, the coil-end finishing, the punch-to-coil alignment, and whether the coil diameter matches the page count. YPS controls all four variables in-house, which is why our spiral notebooks hold up in humid climates, school use, and heavy daily handling. Why the Coil Resists RustRust is a risk only when bare steel is exposed to moisture and oxygen. YPS eliminates that exposure at the material level.Nylon-coated metal coils: Our metal coils are built on a rigid steel core sheathed in a thin, even, color-matched nylon jacket. The nylon layer forms a closed barrier that resists rust under normal daily use, while also delivering high abrasion resistance, moisture resistance, and weathering resistance. The coating adhesion is engineered to stay intact through repeated page turning, so the steel core is not exposed over the life of the notebook.PET plastic coils: For buyers who want a zero-rust guarantee, PET plastic spiral coils are 100% rust-proof by nature — there is no metal core to corrode. They are the safest option for children's products and the most practical choice for humid environments. YPS's PET coils are also SGS-tested and free of halogens, making them suitable for school notebooks and food-contact-adjacent applications. What “normal use” means: Under everyday handling — opening and closing the notebook, carrying it in a bag, and writing on flat surfaces — neither nylon-coated metal nor PET coils will rust. Accelerated corrosion can occur only if the coating is mechanically breached and the bare core is then exposed to sustained moisture; this is not a failure mode in properly formed, specification-compliant coils. Why Pages Stay in PlacePages falling out is almost always a manufacturing specification error, not an inherent flaw of spiral binding. Three variables determine whether a bound block stays intact.1. Coil ends must be crimped and closed. An open coil end will gradually unwind with normal page-turning, and pages will begin to escape. YPS securely bends and closes the coil ends after binding, so the spiral is locked into a closed loop and pages cannot come off even under forceful pulling. The closed-loop geometry keeps every leaf captive, including on thick page blocks.2. Punch holes must be aligned with the coil. Misalignment between the punched hole pattern and the coil pitch is a leading cause of pages catching, tearing at the holes, or working loose. YPS aligns the page punching precisely with the coil so that loose pages do not fall out, providing reliable, durable binding.3. Coil diameter must match the page count and paper weight. A coil that is too small for the block makes pages difficult to turn and stresses the punched holes; an oversized coil feels loose and allows excessive page movement. YPS specifies coil diameter against the actual sheet count and paper GSM, so the finished book has the correct fit — neither tight enough to tear nor loose enough to shed pages.4. Paper quality matters. Pages can tear at the punched holes if the paper is too light or the holes are poorly formed. YPS uses certified high-grammage, bleed-resistant paper, and the punch tooling is matched to the paper stock to produce clean holes that resist tearing under normal use.The Practical Takeaway for BuyersIf you are sourcing spiral notebooks and want to eliminate rust and page-loss risk, specify three things in your RFQ:Coil material: nylon-coated metal for a traditional look with daily-use rust resistance, or PET plastic for 100% rust-proof performance.Closed, crimped coil ends: confirm that the manufacturer crimps and closes both ends after binding.Coil diameter matched to page count and paper GSM: do not accept a generic coil size that is not calculated against your actual specification.YPS handles all three in a vertically integrated production line — we draw the wire, coat the nylon, extrude PET coils, punch the paper, and close the binding in-house — so the rust resistance and page retention of the sample you approve carry through to every unit in your bulk order.Contact our team with your notebook specification and we will recommend the correct coil material, diameter, and end-finishing for your project.

After tearing out a page, will the edge be jagged like a sawtooth?

Tearing a page out of a spiral notebook does not have to leave a ragged, sawtooth edge. Whether the edge comes out clean or jagged is determined by two controllable factors: how the page is detached (tearing along a dedicated micro-perforation line versus tearing blindly at the coil holes) and how the paper and binding are manufactured (punch quality, paper weight, and coil alignment). YPS controls both, so your end-users can remove a page for filing or sharing without the result looking like it was ripped out by hand. Why Jagged, Sawtooth Edges HappenA jagged edge is almost always the result of a failure to control the tear path. There are two common failure modes:1. Tearing at the spiral holes instead of a perforation line. When a spiral notebook has no dedicated tear line, the only weak point is the row of punched holes. As a user pulls a page, the paper sometimes rips through at the spiral holes rather than separating cleanly, resulting in a ragged sheet. The fibers between punched holes are not designed to guide a tear — they simply give way unevenly, leaving a sawtooth profile.2. Poor punch quality and misalignment. Sloppy hole-punching leaves rough, frayed edges around the punched holes. These imperfect edges then catch on the coil every time the page is turned, progressively weakening the paper and producing a ragged tear when the page is finally removed. If the punch pattern is also misaligned with the coil pitch, the mechanical stress concentrates unevenly, further worsening the tear. How YPS Delivers Clean, Straight Tear-OutsYPS addresses both the tear-path problem and the manufacturing-quality problem at the production level.Micro-Perforation for a Guided, Straight TearFor notebooks specified with tear-out functionality, YPS can apply a micro-perforation line — a row of very small, closely spaced slits that are not readily visible to the user. This line creates a controlled fracture path. When the user tears along it, the paper separates perfectly straight, without jagged edges. The micro-perforation is engineered so that the sheet remains securely attached during normal use and page-turning, but releases cleanly and predictably when the user chooses to detach it.Precision Punching and Coil AlignmentEven for notebooks without a perforation line, the quality of the punched edge and the alignment of the punch pattern with the coil determine how the page behaves over its lifecycle. YPS aligns the page-punching precisely with the coil, so that loose pages do not catch, fray, or tear at the holes during normal use. Clean, well-formed punched holes do not create the rough edges that initiate a sawtooth tear. The result is a bound block where pages stay intact under daily handling and, if a page is removed, the punched edge is as clean as the manufacturing process allows.Paper Quality as a Tear-Control VariablePaper grade also matters. Thin or brittle paper tears uncontrollably regardless of perforation quality. YPS uses certified high-grammage, bleed-resistant paper, and the punch tooling is matched to the paper stock to produce clean holes that resist fraying and uneven tearing under normal use. What to Specify in Your RFQIf clean tear-out performance is a requirement for your notebook project, include two specifications:  Micro-perforation line: confirm that the tear line is micro-perforated and that the perforation strength has been tested to hold during normal page-    turning but release cleanly on demand.  Punch-to-coil alignment and paper GSM: confirm that the manufacturer aligns punching with the coil pitch and matches the punch tooling to the      specified paper weight.YPS controls micro-perforation, punching, coil production, and binding in-house, so the tear performance of the approved sample carries through to every unit in your bulk order.Contact our team with your notebook specification and we will confirm whether micro-perforation is the right fit for your tear-out requirements, along with the appropriate paper GSM and punch specification.

What are the product's environmental standards?

Yes. YPS builds environmental compliance into the specification of the notebook itself — not into marketing language. For a custom spiral notebook, “eco-friendly” is only a meaningful claim when it is traceable to a specific material, a specific ink system, a specific binding construction, and a specific certification. YPS makes that traceability explicit, so your brand can make an environmental claim that survives buyer scrutiny.FSC-Certified Paper and Chain of CustodyWhen the brief requires a credible forest-responsibility claim, YPS can supply FSC Mix paper if the stock is nominated for your order. The FSC claim follows the applicable Chain of Custody (CoC) documentation requirements, rather than resting on a generic “eco-friendly” description. This distinction matters: an FSC claim is only defensible when the paper is actually traceable through the CoC system, and YPS handles that documentation as part of the order process.Low-Emission Ink SystemsYPS specifies water-based or soy-based inks and low-odour, low-migration inks for notebook interiors and covers. These ink systems reduce solvent emissions and odour compared with conventional petroleum-based inks, making them suitable for children's products, school notebooks, and branded journals where print smell and migration are a concern. For buyers evaluating sustainability claims, the ink system is one of the most common points where “eco-friendly” marketing diverges from the actual specification — YPS states the ink chemistry directly.Recyclable and Rust-Proof Binding MaterialsThe binding is where many “green” notebook claims break down. YPS manufactures PET plastic spiral coils that are 100% rust-proof and SGS-tested to meet European and American safety standards. The PET material is free of halogens, and the chemicals do not migrate into solid or liquid materials, making it suitable for children's books. For buyers who want a recyclable binding stream, PET and metal coils are the practical options — unlike a standard petroleum laminate marketed as “eco” while remaining a conventional plastic film.SGS and ISO 9001 as Compliance EvidenceEnvironmental claims need independent evidence. YPS's binding materials are SGS-tested and meet European and American market safety standards. Production runs under an ISO 9001-certified quality system, and every product passes SGS testing. For a buyer building a sustainable stationery line, SGS test reports and ISO 9001 certification provide the third-party documentation that supports the material claims, rather than relying on a supplier’s self-declaration.What to Specify in Your RFQTo make the environmental standard enforceable in production, specify four points in your request: Paper: FSC Mix paper if a forest-responsibility claim is required, with CoC documentation. Ink: water-based or soy-based, low-odour and low-migration, for both cover and interior. Binding: PET plastic coil (100% rust-proof, halogen-free) or metal coil, with recyclability confirmed in writing. Evidence: SGS test reports for the nominated materials and confirmation of ISO 9001 production.YPS controls wire drawing, coil extrusion, printing, punching, and binding in-house, so the environmental specification you approve at sampling is the specification that runs through the bulk order — not a one-off sample that cannot be replicated.Contact our team with your environmental specification requirements, and we will confirm the applicable FSC paper options, ink systems, binding materials, and the supporting SGS and ISO documentation for your project.

Do you support OEM/ODM customization? What is the customization process and cycle?

Yes. YPS provides full-process OEM and ODM customization for spiral notebooks, binding wire, and related stationery products. This covers high-end brand OEM, corporate customization, and gift customization, so you can bring a finished product concept or just a rough requirement and have it developed and manufactured under one roof. The Six-Stage Customization Process1. Demand Communication. You share your customization requirements: specifications, materials, processes, logo, quantity, budget, and target market. YPS also provides market analysis and technical support at this stage to help refine the brief.2. Proposal and Quotation. Based on your brief, YPS issues a customization plan, including sample renderings and a quotation. Design details, binding type, cover material, inner-page layout, and coil specification are confirmed with you before anything goes into production.3. Sample Production and Confirmation. After the plan is confirmed, YPS produces a physical pre-production sample. Production is carried out only after sample confirmation, ensuring your risk is zero. The approved sample becomes the quality benchmark for the entire bulk run.4. Bulk Production and Quality Inspection. Once the sample is signed off, bulk production begins, followed by in-house quality inspection covering binding strength, page alignment, cover print quality, and coil finishing.5. Delivery and Payment. Goods are packed and shipped according to the agreed delivery terms, with the payment structure tied to production milestones (typically a deposit to start production and the balance before shipment).6. After-Sales Service. YPS provides unconditional after-sales service to address any issues after delivery.Production Cycle and Lead TimesSampling: Custom pre-production samples are typically ready in 3–7 working days after artwork and specification confirmation.Bulk Production: Standard production lead time is 15–25 days after sample approval, depending on order quantity and finishing complexity.Fast Delivery: For eligible product lines, YPS's own factory enables rapid delivery within 10–20 days.Low MOQ: Small-batch customization is available from 50 pieces, making OEM/ODM accessible to startups and independent brands, not just large-volume buyers. Why the Cycle Is ReliableYPS is a vertically integrated manufacturer: wire drawing, coil extrusion, printing, punching, and binding are all handled in-house. Fewer hand-offs between suppliers mean tighter tolerances, faster sampling, and a bulk product that matches the approved sample rather than drifting from it.Contact our team with your specification or design files, and we will confirm the applicable process, sampling timeline, and production schedule for your project.

What are the core high-end selling points of your high-end coil notebooks?

Premium coil notebooks are defined less by one stand-out feature than by the absence of weak points across the entire book — the coil, the paper, the cover, and how all three behave together after weeks of use. YPS approaches high-end coil notebooks as an engineering system rather than a decorated commodity. The core selling points fall into four interlocking areas: binding engineering, writing-surface performance, cover-and-spine integration, and manufacturing consistency at production scale.1. Binding Engineering: The Coil Is the Spine of the ProductYPS began as a binding manufacturer before it made notebooks, and that origin shapes how the coil is specified. High-end metal coils are high-hardness, rust-proof, and burr-free, with tight and uniform winding and precise tension control. The result is smooth page turning without jamming or noise, and resistance to deformation or breakage after long-term use. For projects that need a zero-rust guarantee, PET plastic coils are 100% rust-proof, lightweight, and available in a broad colour range, while our capability covers multiple pitch systems and a 6–50 mm coil-diameter range. The binding is engineered for 180° lay-flat writing — no spine hump, no rolling pages — and 360° fold-back, which matters for left-handed users, standing note-taking, and tight workspaces.2. Writing-Surface Performance: Paper Chosen for the Pen, Not the GSM NumberA premium notebook is used hundreds of times after the packaging is gone, so the paper decision is a daily-experience decision. YPS specifies high-end paper selected so fountain-pen ink sits on the surface rather than passing through the sheet, and explicitly supports fountain-pen-friendly inner paper without bleed-through. Surface feel is tuned to reduce nib drag, and clean cutting prevents loose fibres from collecting around the page edge and binding channel. Beyond the base sheet, YPS supports fully custom printed interiors — ruled, dotted, grid, blank, and bespoke planner or tracker templates — so the page itself becomes part of the product's value rather than a generic writing pad.3. Cover-and-Spine Integration: A System, Not Three Separate ApprovalsThe most common failure in premium notebook sourcing is approving paper, cover, and coil separately, then discovering they do not work together in production. YPS treats the cover, text block, and binding as one object. A rigid cover changes the leverage around the binding; dividers, pockets, and inserts change the finished stack even when the nominal page count stays the same; a heavier paper stock can invalidate a previously approved coil diameter. On the cover side, YPS offers scratch-resistant matte lamination, waterproof PP options, and colour-controlled metal or plastic coil finishes that belong to the design rather than looking like an afterthought.4. Manufacturing Consistency: The Sample Must Be the StandardFor a high-end notebook, the critical question is not whether a beautiful sample can be made — it is whether the production run still feels considered after thousands of units. YPS is vertically integrated: wire drawing, coil extrusion, printing, punching, and binding are handled in-house, using fully automatic punching and spiral coil binding machines. This full-chain control is what allows a premium specification to survive the transition from a one-off prototype to a repeatable product, rather than drifting between the approved sample and the delivered order. Materials are SGS-tested to European and American market standards, and production runs under an ISO 9001-certified quality system. In short, the high-end selling points are: a binding engineered as the spine of the product, a writing surface chosen for real pens, a cover-and-coil system designed as one object, and a vertically integrated manufacturing chain that makes the approved sample the production standard rather than a one-off exception.

Compared with traders, what are the advantages of your factory in price and service?

Compared with trading companies, YPS offers a direct factory relationship that eliminates markups, shortens technical communication loops, and gives you end-to-end visibility from coil production to final binding — rather than a layer between you and the manufacturing floor.1. Price Advantage: No Markup, and the Right ComparisonA trading company buys from a factory, adds a margin, and resells to you. That markup typically runs 5% to 30% on top of the factory price, and on custom goods it can sit at the higher end of that range. On a large notebook order, that is money spent on an intermediary layer rather than on materials, finishing, or binding quality.YPS is not a reseller. We operate a 20,000 m² factory in Dongguan, China, and have been manufacturing coil and binding products since 2017. Because printing, die-cutting, CNC punching, coil forming, and automatic binding all run under one roof, there is no trading-company markup built into your quotation. You are paying for paper, ink, coil, labour, and finishing — not for a middle layer whose main function is forwarding a purchase order. The common objection is that a trading company can sometimes achieve lower unit prices by aggregating volume across multiple factories. That can be true for low-complexity, catalogue products. But for a custom spiral notebook, the specification is not a catalogue item: paper GSM, punch pitch, coil diameter, cover lamination, and binding capacity all interact. A factory quotation on your actual specification is the only meaningful price comparison, because it is the only quotation that reflects the cost of producing the notebook you designed.2. Service Advantage: Direct Communication and Real ControlTechnical communication reaches the people who run the machines. A trading company often has to relay a technical question — punch pattern, coil crimp specification, paper grain direction — to a factory it does not own, then relay the answer back. YPS answers from the production floor. Our CNC punching holds edge alignment within 0.5 mm across the binding edge, and coil systems cover single-wire, twin-wire Wire-O, and PET plastic formats with 6–50 mm coil diameters. Those are not sales talking points; they are the parameters the line runs on daily.Quality control is not outsourced. A trading company typically has limited visibility into the factory that actually makes the goods, and when a defect appears, the intermediary's incentive is often to keep the order moving rather than stop the line. YPS runs incoming, in-process, and pre-shipment inspection on every order, including page-pull binding strength, lay-flat checks, and alignment verification following recognised methods. There is no second company to consult before a batch is held or re-run.The sample you approve is the sample we produce. Because every stage — printing, punching, coil forming, and binding — stays in-house, the notebook approved at sample stage is the notebook delivered at volume. A trading company cannot guarantee that continuity: the sample may come from Factory A, while the bulk order is placed with Factory B for a better margin. Vertical integration removes that failure mode entirely.Customization is not limited to a catalogue. YPS supports OEM and ODM programmes with flexible small-batch MOQs, 3–7 day sample turnaround, and full customization of size (A6–A4 and custom), inner paper (70–120 gsm), coil colour, cover materials, and finishing options including foil stamping, embossing, soft-touch lamination, spot UV, and tear-off perforation. A trading company's customization is constrained by what its supplier factories are willing to set up; a factory's customization is constrained by its own equipment — and YPS owns that equipment.3. The Structural Difference in One SentenceA trading company sells you a product and manages a supply chain behind it; YPS manufactures the product and remains accountable for every stage in front of you. That structural difference is what the price and service advantages ultimately rest on — not a discount claim, but a shorter distance between your specification and the machine that produces it.Contact our team with your notebook specification and we will confirm the applicable factory-direct pricing, MOQ, and sampling timeline for your project.

What is your factory's core positioning? What are the advantages of focusing on high-end coil notebo

YPS positions itself as a vertically integrated manufacturer of high-end coil notebooks — a factory that started with the binding coil itself, not with notebook covers — and that origin is what defines both the positioning and the advantages of focusing on this specific product category.1. Core Positioning: A Binding-First Factory, Not a Cover-First SupplierMost notebook suppliers begin with printing and decoration, then buy binding components from outside vendors. YPS did the opposite. The company began with spiral coil, double-loop wire, and the machines used to form and process those binding systems, and only later moved into finished notebooks. Since 2002, it has operated from a 20,000 m² factory in Dongguan, manufacturing single-wire spiral, twin-wire Wire-O, and PVC coil notebooks under one roof — with printing, die-cutting, CNC punching, coil forming, and automatic binding all running in-house.This is the core positioning: YPS is not a notebook decorator that outsources its spine. It is a coil manufacturer that builds the entire notebook around its own binding engineering. The capability covers A6–A4 and custom sizes, 70–120 gsm inner paper, 6–50 mm coil diameters, and binding capacity from 30 to 700 sheets, backed by 80+ patents in spiral, Wire-O, and coil technology.2. Advantage One: Binding Engineering Is Not an Add-On — It Is the Starting PointWhen a supplier treats binding as a purchased component, the notebook is designed around whatever coil is available. When the factory manufactures the coil itself, the notebook is designed around the mechanics of how pages actually turn.A cover-first supplier sees artwork, material, and packaging first. A binding manufacturer also sees finished text-block thickness, hole geometry, pitch, coil clearance, cover stiffness, and how the user's hand reaches the page near the spine. That perspective catches specification interactions before they become production problems — for example, recognizing that a larger coil can improve clearance but leave too much page movement, while a smaller coil can restrict page turning, or that a rigid cover changes leverage around the binding. The coil is engineered as the spine of the product, not as a commodity component bolted on at the end.3. Advantage Two: Vertical Integration Makes “Premium” a Repeatable StandardThe most common failure in high-end notebook sourcing is approving paper, cover, and coil separately, then discovering they do not work together in production. Vertical integration eliminates that hand-off risk. Because YPS keeps every stage — coil forming, printing, punching, and binding — under one roof, the team owns punch pitch, coil diameter, and crimp quality as a single system. The result is tighter tolerances, faster sampling, and consistency on reorders. Crucially, the notebook approved at sample stage is the notebook received at volume — the specification does not drift between the prototype and the production run. This is what “high-end” means operationally at YPS: not a price adjective, but the guarantee that paper, print, cover, and binding continue to behave as one product after the buyer moves from a sample to thousands of units.4. Advantage Three: Focusing on Coil Notebooks Forces the Right Kind of DisciplineFocusing on one product family means the factory is not spreading its engineering attention across dozens of unrelated categories. That concentration shows up in the specification discipline. A documented case illustrates the point: a 160-sheet A5 hardcover notebook was changed from 80 GSM to 120 GSM paper, but the construction remained paired with a 20 mm coil. The thicker text block no longer matched the binding, and returns began after roughly seven weeks of use; the corrected construction moved to a 32 mm coil.A generalized factory might not catch that interaction. A factory that has spent two decades forming coils and building binding machines treats it as the first thing to check.5. What This Means for BuyersThe positioning translates into three practical advantages for a high-end coil notebook program:  Specification confidence: the coil diameter, punch pattern, cover stiffness, and page count are validated as an interacting system, not as   independent line items.  Sample-to-production continuity: the approved prototype is the production standard, because nothing is handed off between separate coil, print,   and binding vendors.  Binding-first problem-solving: when a premium specification changes — thicker paper, added inserts, a stiffer cover — the factory catches the     binding implications before the order ships, not after returns begin.YPS is a coil manufacturer that builds notebooks, not a notebook brand that buys coils. That is the positioning, and focusing on high-end coil notebooks is what keeps the engineering honest.
